What to Expect From Psychotherapy

During psychotherapy, you will learn about your condition, moods, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. Psychotherapy will help you learn how to control your life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills.

We will initially set some goals based on your stated reasons for approaching me. As you learn and understand more about yourself, your plans might change. We will work collaboratively in further defining and redefining your goals.

  • Duration and frequency vary depending on the nature of your problem and your individual needs.

Confidentiality

  • Information you have shared with me will be kept strictly confidential and will not be disclosed without your written consent.

HIPPA regulations

  • Your record is private.

Freedom to withdraw

  • You have the right to end therapy at any time.
